How to Add Contacts on Telegram
To add new contacts in Telegram:
Step 1: Open Telegram Application
Launch the Telegram application from your device’s home screen or app drawer.
Step 2: Tap “+” Button
On the main interface, tap the "+" button located at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Select "联系人" Option
A drop-down menu will appear; select the option labeled "联系人".
Step 4: Enter Information
The following fields will be available depending on whether you're adding a phone number or email address:
- If adding a phone number: Input the recipient's mobile number.
- If adding an email address: Type the recipient's email address directly into the field.
Step 5: Confirm Addition
After entering all necessary information, confirm the addition by tapping the "Add Contact" button.
Managing Your Telegram Contacts
Once you’ve added contact(s) via Telegram, managing them becomes straightforward:
Step 1: Search Functionality
Use the search bar located at the bottom left corner of the Telegram window to quickly find specific contacts.
Step 2: Share and Delete Contacts
- To share a contact with others, tap the three dots (⋮) next to their name and select either “Share with” or “Invite”. Choose who you want to include and tap the appropriate button.
- To delete a contact, swipe left on their profile picture until the trash can icon appears, then tap it.

Setting Up Automatic Message Sending
Enable this feature under Settings > Chat & Messages > Automatic Send. This allows Telegram to automatically send messages to contacts when they join groups or make calls.
